Tabor Czech Days

June 16 - June 17

Held annualy on the third Friday and Saturday of June!

Czech Days are filled with fun, music, entertainment, dancing, and traditional Czech foods. The celebration has kept alive the heritage of the early founders of this little South Dakota community who came to Tabor as early as 1869 from what-is-today the Czech Republic.

St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, organized in 1971, is named for the patron saint of the Czech and Slovak peoples.

Over 200 costumed dancers in kroje perform both evenings at 8:30 in Sokol Park.

Authentic Czech Pioneer Village has a Czech chapel, jail, store, log school, and log house chalupa in Vancura Park.

Adjacent to the park is Blachnik Museum, with unique handmade items from the late Emil Blachnik.
